"We seek a church that is more than a geographical place, more than a gathering of people, more than a program and organization. We seek a sacred center, a sense of Sabbath, a community that empowers us for our daily ministries."

Our Mission
“We are Christ-centered inclusive community called to ministry.”
We seek to help individuals identify their unique God-given gifts for ministry, and we strive to aid people of faith in discerning where God is calling them to employ their gifts in the world.

Education
We believe that we are all called to minister [to serve] to the glory of God.
We believe that everyone possess unique God-given gifts for ministry.
We believe we are all called by God to employ our gifts so that we make a difference in the world. We believe we are called to be ministers, but that you cannot be a minister without first being a disciple [a student].
We will build a culture of learning in our church – Grown ups still need to learn and explore their faith, and children need to learn how to worship.
Making Disciples
We take seriously Jesus’ command in the gospel of Matthew that we are to “make disciples of all nations” and all people. At UCC Norwell we attempt to fulfill this command by helping people become students of the Christian faith by offering a wide range of educational opportunities that can help people better understand and apply their beliefs to their daily lives.
Equipping Ministers
We believe in the Apostle Paul’s exhortation to the Ephesians the work of the church is “to equip the saints for the work of ministry.” As people of faith we are all called to minister to the glory of God. Each one of us has been endowed by God with unique gifts that we are to employ in ways that make a positive difference in the world. At UCC Norwell we believe it is our job to help people identify their gifts and help them to discern where to invest them in the world.
