Homecoming Sunday Celebration
on September 12th
It’s time for planning our annual Homecoming Sunday celebration on September 12th after 10 a.m. worship. (Note that we return to 10 a.m. worship beginning that Sunday.)
Look for the easel in Fellowship Hall and add your name to help with:
- tent and table setup on Saturday at 9am,
- cleanup on Sunday, or
- bringing a salad or finger dessert (NO nuts).
We look forward to seeing everyone on the 12th!
Youth Groups Resume Meeting
The Middle School and Sr. High youth Groups will be starting again on Sunday, September 12th. Both groups meet in Rm. 1. All youth are invited to bring their friends—they do not need to attend UCC Norwell in order to come to youth group.
Middle School Youth Group meets from 5:00 - 6:30pm and is for all youth in grades 6-8.
Sr. High Youth Group meets from 6:45-8:45pm (note the time change from last year).
Music Ministry Update
The last two Pick-Up Choir dates are September 12 and 19th (arrive at 9:00 to rehearse, and we sing at 10:00 a.m. worship).
Pot-Luck "Back to Sanctuary Choir" Brunch after church on September 19th at The Galvins.
First Sanctuary Choir Rehearsal: Thursday, September 23rd at 7:15pm in Room 2. Christmas music, practice CDs and a new, condensed concert rehearsal schedule will be available at this rehearsal, and we may even take a peek at some of the Christmas music!!
Christmas Singers: Don't wait until November to start thinking about joining us! (see above). While all of November's Thursday rehearsals will be devoted to Christmas concert music, you can get a head-start by picking up a CD and a copy of the music as early as September 23rd.
