As a community of faith we do something that simply isn’t done in much of the rest of our world.  Through the encouragement of Jesus Christ, we covenant to share our lives with each other.  We willingly choose to enlarge our family circle by giving ourselves and receiving others into relationship. 

We share our lives together in a world that encourages us to look out for our individual interests.  We share our lives together in a culture that encourages us to walk away when things get difficult.  We share our lives together in a town that says a there are a thousand different activities more important than what we do in the church. 

The greatest service we offer each other is our abiding presence to one another, and through that presence we experience the presence of God in our lives.
