In-Person Worship and Church Gatherings Are Suspended Due to COVID-19 Virus

-A A +A

Please be aware that United Church of Christ in Norwell is following our UCC Southern New England Conference's (covering MA, CT, RI) recommendation and is suspending all in-person worship services, pastoral visitation, and other church gatherings beginning March 12th at 5pm, until further notice.   (Note one exception* below.)

Such actions are indeed drastic, but I feel necessary for our community to stay healthy and do our part in our wider area to prevent the spreading of the coronavirus.

Worship is the foundation of our church community, central to our life together.  Worship is where we find our place in the body of Christ.  We will all feel the loss of not being able to gather this Sunday, March 15 and on March 22nd.  However, I am working with our pastoral and office staff to develop a virtual means for us to worship through providing an electronic bulletin and streaming the service.  More information will follow.

* Understanding how crucial AA meetings are to many individuals, these meetings may continue, for now, with a couple changes. The kitchen cannot be used and no drinks or refreshments can be served at meetings, and ALL meetings must take place ONLY in the large Fellowship Hall upstairs.

As of Friday, March 13, The New Nursery School, which meets in our lower level, is now closed until further notice.
