Items for Bags of Hope Continue to Be Collected Through Mid-March

-A A +A

IN HONOR OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING AWARENESS MONTH, the South Shore Interfaith Coalition Against Human Trafficking continues to collect specific toiletry (and other) items for Bags of Hope which will be given to vulnerable women affected by trafficking, addiction and homelessness who are living on the streets or in programs throughout Massachusetts. The bags will also include notecards* with "messages of hope and encouragement" written by our church family during our worship service on January 13 in honor of National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. Click on the following underlined link for Bags of Hope specific items being collected. Special collection boxes are located throughout the church.

Both of our youth groups, leaders and some parents will help fill the Bags of Hope at two workshops in surrounding towns. The first is Sunday, March 24th, 6-8 p.m., at the First Congregational Church in Stoughton.  The second will be held at Congregation Sha'aray Shalom in Hingham (date/time details will follow--stay tuned!).  Community youth and parents are also invited to attend. If interested, please contact or 781-834-7813.
*The artwork on the notecards was designed by two of our church school members.
