-A A +A

We take the Bible seriously. We believe in the admonition in second Timothy that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and that it is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness. We believe that Jesus Christ is the incarnate Word – the Word of God made flesh – so we try to approach scripture with the expectation of having an encounter with the living Christ through the living word. We also hold to the belief of our congregational ancestors, that there is yet more light and truth to break forth from God’s holy word. Therefore, we must always strive to interpret scripture, and allow scripture to interpret us, in the light and truth of God’s continuing and evolving revelation in our lives and in our world.

In a culture that is quick to follow trends, polls, and celebrities, we follow Jesus.
We come as we are, so we can discover all God has created us to be.
