WISE Mental Health

Lifting the shame and stigma that so often surrounds mental illness.

The church should be a place where you can be your full self, your true self, your real self. In the months leading up to the pandemic, our mental health ministry organically formed out of the shared calling to provide hope, compassion and caring to those living with mental health challenges or other chronic brain disorders, addictions and trauma. We have created space for members of our community to share their mental health challenges during worship, forged important partnerships with community health organizations, and are pursuing official designation as a WISE Congregation for Mental Health through the United Church of Christ.

It's OK to not be OK.

Our WISE (Welcoming, Inclusive, Supportive and Engaged) Ministry Team for Mental Health at UCC Norwell is pleased to partner with the Institute of Spiritual Life and Psychotherapy (ISLP) on the South Shore to offer spiritual support groups led by professionally-trained facilitators. A support group provides a confidential opportunity for people to share personal experiences and feelings, coping strategies, or firsthand knowledge regarding what has been beneficial.

Use the buttons below to send an email inquiry about participation in any of these four separate support groups.
