Our Racial and Social Justice Ministries reflect our deep commitment to building a more just, compassionate, and inclusive world grounded in the teachings of Jesus. Greater Boston Interfaith Organization (GBIO)
As proud members of the Greater Boston Interfaith Organization (GBIO), we join hands with congregations, mosques, synagogues, and community groups across the region to address systemic injustices and advocate for meaningful change. Through GBIO, we have worked collectively on issues such as affordable housing, criminal justice reform, and healthcare access—amplifying our voice as part of a powerful, faith-rooted movement for equity and human dignity. THIS is Christianity
In partnership with First Church in Williamstown, MA and the Congregational Church of DeKalb, IL, UCC Norwell launched THIS is Christianity—a bold new nonprofit devoted to confronting and dismantling the dangerous ideologies of Christian Nationalism. This initiative aims to reclaim the message of Jesus from those who would distort it for power, exclusion, or oppression. We believe Christianity is rooted in love, justice, and humility—not in fear or domination. THIS is Christianity equips churches and individuals with resources, education, and public witness to resist hate and live out a more authentic Gospel.

Public witness and demonstrations for justice
Faith is not just what we believe—it’s what we do. Our congregation actively engages in public demonstrations of justice and compassion, including regular standouts for inclusion, love, and mercy. We strive to publicly proclaim and make visible our belief that every person is made in the image of God. These actions are expressions of our discipleship and our hope for a world transformed by grace.
