FAQ: How do I contribute an announcement?

Are you a church member, regular attendee, or on a ministry team? Do you have an announcement or event opportunity you would like to contribute to our UCC Norwell News email or the Sunday bulletin?

When and how to submit announcements:

  • We live by the two-Wednesday rule: Submit your announcement by noon, two Wednesdays before you want it included.

    • For example: To see it in the weekly news and bulletin on January 15, just get it to Emily by noon on January 4.

  • All announcements may be submitted to Emily Mathews via email or call her at 781-659-2887 option 3. Prayers should still be contributed to Maryanne DeMatteo via email.

What needs to be in an announcement:

  1. A clear title

  2. An image you’d like us to use

  3. Who, what, where, when, why, how (when appropriate)

  4. Call to action and contact information
