UCC Norwell remembers and celebrates the life of John Hughan
A gift to the John W. Hughan Foundation
Mission + Outreach is delighted to share that a gift of $5,000 was given to the John W. Hughan Foundation on behalf of the Linda Falconiero Bequest Fund. The John W. Hughan Foundation focuses on providing opportunities for engagement and development in music, service, and athletic activities for youth. Following his passions, the foundation seeks to provide support for civic, religious, and charitable organizations with similar missions, and in doing so, honor the life, character, and passions of John W. A gift for John Hughan at UCC Norwell
Along with the donation to the John W. Hughan Foundation, we will plant and dedicate a serviceberry on church grounds to honor John’s life and memory. As John did in his short life, the serviceberry serves its community and its ecosystem in myriad and varied ways. It seems a well-suited way to pay tribute to a young man who meant so much to so many. The planting will happen on Sunday, April 12 following worship, in the fenced area next to the playground. Please join us to honor John and stand with his family as we make this dedication.
