Committees

The Investment Committee helps oversee and manage UCC Norwell’s invested assets in accordance with our mission and vision. Working with professional investment advisors and church leadership, the committee focuses on prudent stewardship, diversification, liquidity, appropriate risk, and the long-term needs of the congregation.

The Human Resources Committee maintains appropriate working conditions and quality of life for all employees, as well as open communication with the church staff on employment-related issues or concerns.

The Finance Committee reviews church finances on a continual basis, develops and recommends all budgets to Council and the Congregation, and recommends to Council actions that support the long-term financial health of our church.

The Safe Church Committee sets the guidelines and procedures for all UCC Norwell activities which take place within the building and the properties of UCC Norwell, as well as any programs, activities, or events scheduled as part of the ministry of this church that take place off the properties of UCC Norwell. These Guidelines and Procedures are to be followed by all adults, both staff and volunteers, as well as youth volunteers who participate in UCC Norwell activities.
