Ministries of Worship + Spiritual Life

These ministry teams use their gifts to provide a transcendent experience of God’s presence, both virtually and in-person, and to support all our efforts to receive the Holy Spirit and facilitate its movement among us.

Do you find joy in music or in creating beauty, or feel a particular affinity for sharing in the sacramental life of the Church? Or, do you have a gift for tech and feel at home in the virtual world? Ministry teams are always ready to welcome new members and support them in using their gifts in service to the world.   • The Deacons tend to the sacramental life of the church by assisting with communion, baptism, and other services, and prays for those in need. Oversees the overall safety of the building on Sundays for service and works with other Ministry Teams on sanctuary set-up and functionality.

  • The mission of the Flower Ministry Team is to use our creativity with God's gifts of nature to comfort, honor and remember loved ones with color and beauty, enhancing our visual worship experience.

    The only requirement of our arrangers is to find joy in what they are doing! No experience is necessary.

  • The Liturgical Arts Ministry Team creates and installs in the Sanctuary artistic representations for each of the Liturgical seasons. Our mission is to visually enhance our worship space so as to deepen our worship experience.

  • The Livestream Ministry Team, better know as the Stream Team is entrusted with managing all technical operations within the sanctuary. Core responsibilities include oversight of the sound system, streaming equipment, and video production during live worship services. Beyond supporting on-site congregants, the team facilitates live streaming and video production for Sunday worship, the annual meeting, and memorial services as required. Individuals seeking to view Sunday services can access them via UCCN’s Vimeo and YouTube channels, as well as the UCCN Facebook page.

  • Established  in 2001, the Memorial Garden provides an attractive and permanent place to bury the cremated remains of members and friends of our church. Additionally, it is a quiet and reverent place  for members and friends of the church who are buried elsewhere to be memorialized.

  • The Music Ministry Team supports the Minister of Music in the development of a music ministry that addresses all facets of UCC’s musical life including choirs/music, education, sustainability, and community outreach.  With a diversity of offerings throughout the year, it is our hope that listeners and participants alike will experience the transformative power of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
