Pentecost + Memorial Day traditions
This Sunday is Pentecost, please join us in wearing red as we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit! Red symbolizes the fire of the Spirit that descended upon the disciples at Pentecost (Acts 2:1–4), reminding us of God’s power, presence, and the birth of the Church. We look forward to worshiping together in this joyful celebration of the Spirit at work among us.
Following worship this Sunday, in observance of Memorial Day, the congregation is invited to gather in the Memorial Garden for a special time of remembrance as we honor the faithful service and sacrifice of deceased veterans who were members of our church community. During this observance, we will read their names aloud and give thanks for their lives, courage, sacrifice, and service.
