A day in the life serving with the Bread Run

We love celebrating the acts of service and God's love performed by those who help others. Thank you to Carol and Ed who shared a recent "day in the life" as they did their part in the "Bread Run," by picking up food donations from local businesses and delivering the donations to organizations in need. Read on to learn about the picture that accompanies this post!

"Hey! Here’s an invitation for each and everyone of you to experience a fun and rewarding couple of hours by helping to address the food shortage here on the South Shore.

The first stops were at Panera Bread in Hanover and Stop and Shop in Norwell. Carol and I received pleasant greetings from the workers as we picked up the food and loaded the car to the brim. You have to be prepared for a very cold minute or two in the freezer!!

The next stop was at The Smith Family Housing Resource Center (part of Father Bill’s) in Brockton. You’ll be greeted as we were, with the biggest smiles and words of gratitude. They exclaimed, 'You guys brought the good stuff!'

After they unloaded the car, Carol and I headed back home feeling grateful, that in a small way, we were doing God’s work. You can as well! Come join us as subs or regulars.

-Ed and Carol Mosel"
