Treasurer’s Report

  • Finances are on track, with pledges at 65% and ahead of schedule. The Schwab transition is complete, and grant funds are expected soon.

  • NNS remains financially positive and recently funded a classroom renovation.

Ongoing Business

Security Grant Award

- Security improvements are progressing, including a comprehensive transition from keys to a fob-based access system.

Directory Task Force

- Task force members will take additional photos for the Church Center directory during Homecoming Sunday on September 13.

Church Signage

- Council unanimously approved up to $18,000 from Maintenance Reserves for Phase Two of the signage project, which encompasses the exterior wayfinding signage.

Website Updates

- Information across the website, Church Center, and Connections Handbook is now consistent, and important documents have been added to Church Center.

Ministry Team Fair

- The September 27 fair will feature brief presentations from each Ministry Team, moderated by Ed Mosel. Council members will provide additional refreshments.

New Business

Supper Series

- A monthly Thursday evening program is proposed to build community through engaging topics and guest speakers, with childcare provided. Council members are invited to help organize.

Just Peace Church

- A team is developing ways to communicate and highlight the church’s identity and work as a designated Just Peace Church, including a presentation at the January Annual Meeting.

Pumpkin Patch

- Pumpkin Patch is coming back for the 4th year, with efforts focused on increasing participation and community impact.
